ABILENE, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was being held Tuesday morning on $100,000 bond at the Dickinson County Jail in Abilene following his arrest last weekend in connection with sexual exploitation of a child, authorities announced Tuesday morning.

The arrested man was identified as Stephen Gillenwater, 45, of Bristow, Oklahoma.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case on March 29 after receiving a tip about the sexual exploitation of a child, officials said.

Abilene police located and arrested Gillenwater on Saturday, Oct. 19, on a warrant issued in the case, sheriff’s officials said.

Gillenwater was subsequently booked into the Dickinson County Jail on charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child; electronic invitation for a child; sexual exploitation of a child; and serious endangerment of a child.
