Joe Scarborough slams JD Vance for defending Trump’s enemy

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough shouted the Republican running mate Senator by J.D. Vance (R-OH) characterization of the former president Donald Trump’s “enemy within” comments like a slip.

Vance appeared for an interview on Fox News on Monday and spoke with American newsroom host Bill Hemmerwho asked the Republican about the anxiety caused by Trump’s comment that he planned to go after his political opponents if elected.

In response, Trump’s running mate began: “First of all, Donald Trump is unfiltered. I think this is one of the reasons why the campaign went well, because he didn’t use a basement campaign strategy. He doesn’t just run on slogans. When people ask him questions, he speaks from his heart.”

On Tuesday Morning JoeScarborough chased down the claim that the “enemy within” comment was “unfiltered.”

Here we have this march towards election denial again, right out in the open. Now we have it again. Why does Donald Trump say he will use the military against his political opponents? His answer is (Speaker Emerita) From Nancy Pelosi taxes, right? We know that in the end we will get where we will, he will say, because they deserve it. He said (Harris-supporting Republican) Liz Cheney deserves a military tribunal.

Think about how crazy it is and what a huge mistake (Vance) made yesterday when he was asked why Donald Trump keeps saying he’s going to use the military against the enemy within, against adversaries. JD Vance says that because he is unfiltered, he speaks from the heart.

The authoritarian means what the authoritarian says.
