Nia’s Insta post

On Monday, the actor shared a video of the commercial on Instagram, writing: “Sometimes life is all about finding the perfect fit. Whether it’s your favorite outfit or something more intimate, we have it for you. Experience the perfect ‘tight’”.

In the video you see how Nia struggles with things that are ‘loose’, from a dress, a bottle cap to her shoelaces. Soon she is seen wearing a dress that fits her perfectly. In the clip she said, “Do it right, keep it tight.”

Fans condemn Nia

Many social media users expressed outrage after watching the video, labeling the post as “disgusting” and “uninformed.”

One fan wrote: “Nia Sharma’s promotion of vaginal tightening products raises serious ethical concerns. As a public figure, she has a responsibility to her audience, many of whom look to her for guidance. By endorsing such products, she not only perpetuates unrealistic beauty standards, but also misleads her followers into believing that their bodies must conform to narrow ideals. This type of marketing can exploit insecurities, pushing individuals toward unnecessary treatments, without addressing the real issues of self-acceptance and body positivity. It is disappointing to see influencers putting profit before the well-being of their fans.”

There was a fan who wrote: “Please stop promoting this because you are a big artist with a lot of followers… According to the doctor there is no such thing as vaginal tightening with tablets,” while another said: “Horrible terrible terrible It’s 2024 and yet this unscientific nonsense is being spread. First that vaginal whitening cream and now this.”

Some users took the opportunity to remind her of her responsibility as a public figure. One response read: “I was your follower. I liked you but the direction you are going is not good, raise the confident women ethically, you celebrities make the common girl insecure with vulnerable messages,” with one person saying, “That is extremely low Nia, lower than your clothes with low waist. I hope that the payment for this support was worth making hundreds and thousands of women even more insecure in this already messed up society.”

“Shame on you. Serious. This is pathetic… Immediately unfollow. Because of the misinformation, the culture that Nia endorses and the abuse of influence that is being committed here,” said a fan.

One user was so shocked by the video and expressed his frustration by writing, “Unfollow due to such toxic content.”

“You’ve got a new low girl bent. Comparing women’s autonomy to objects. Why be afraid of men when women like @niasharma90 objectify women in a very disgusting way,” said one person.

Nia has yet to respond to the comment.
