Lady Tatiana Mountbatten is pregnant! King’s cousin’s daughter is expecting her second child

Lady Tatiana Mountbatten has revealed she is expecting her second child with husband Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru.

The daughter of George Mountbatten, 4th Marquess of Milford Haven, King Charles’ second cousin, Tatiana, 34, already shares a daughter with Alick.

She is an equestrian and psychotherapist with a private practice in central London and announced the news on Saturday, October 19, on Instagram, where she has 18,700 followers.

Tatiana posted a series of photos of herself dressed in a form-fitting jersey jumpsuit at an event hosted by Italian designer Max Mara, adding the caption: “A private preview of my growing belly @maxmara beautiful new collection.”

In the images, a glowing Tatiana beams as she proudly places her hand on her stomach.

With her light brown hair, classically blow-dried and a wide smile on her face, she looked radiant and relaxed as she posed for the camera.

Close friends and fans took the opportunity to congratulate Tatiana by posting more than 100 comments under the cheerful images.

High-profile friend Sadie Chase-Gardener wrote: ‘Never has there been a prettier, smaller bump.’

Meanwhile, podcaster and ex-girlfriend of Prince Harry Cressida Bonas posted a series of heart emojis.

Fashion broadcaster and influencer Hermione Olivia simply described Tatiana as ‘glowing’.

Others also shared their congratulations on Instagram, with one person writing: ‘How wonderful! Congratulations!’ Another person added: “Congratulations. It’s great news’.

Tatiana Mountbatten and Alick welcomed their first child in September 2023 and announced their daughter’s name a month later in October 2023.

The new mom wrote, “One month of motherhood… and what a month it has been! Elodie arrived on September 20. It’s already happening way too fast.’

Tatiana’s followers were keen to send their well wishes, including Flora Vesterberg, the cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who commented: ‘Congratulations! She’s cute! I’m very proud of you xx’.

The heartwarming post included five photos – the first showed baby Elodie sleeping, dressed in a knitted baby romper and matching hat, while holding a toy bunny.

In the second image, Tatiana and Elodie lay on a bed, with the proud mother in pajamas while the newborn napped on her chest.

The third photo showed a close-up of baby Elodie holding her mother’s finger, followed by flowers and cards from friends.

Tatiana announced her first pregnancy in June 2023, along with a series of selfies showing off her bump. “I’ve been a little quiet here for a while… busy finding my perfect wardrobe and growing a little person,” she said.

After sharing the post, fans began questioning Tatiana about her journey to motherhood.

When asked by someone if she has ridden again, she wrote: ‘No, I’m not still driving, yes I miss it so much.’

When asked about the gender of her first child, she added: “We don’t know what a sex baby is, it will be a surprise on the day.”

Tatiana and Alick married at Winchester Cathedral in July 2022.

The bride looked beautiful in a dress by British designer Suzanne Neville. Based on the existing ‘Amelia’ dress, it was adapted with a custom three-metre train, incorporating embroidery from her mother’s wedding dress.

Alick, an Eton-educated entrepreneur, popped the question during a skiing holiday in Verbier, Switzerland, just six months prior to the big day.

He had taken the engagement ring with him on vacation and had chosen a romantic spot on the mountaintop to get down on one knee.

Tatiana is the second cousin of King Charles, and the eldest child of George Mountbatten and his first wife Sarah Georgina Walker.

Her younger brother is Henry David Louis Mountbatten, Earl of Medina, while her stepbrother is Harry Wentworth-Stanley, the husband of Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas.

Although he does not have the same status as his wife, Alick’s family tree is still littered with landed gentry.

The 31-year-old – whose full name is Alexander Bernard Molyneux Dru – is the son of Auberon Alexander Bernard Dru and Catherine Margaret Norden, who married in Somerset in 1989.

His father, known as Bernard, is the son of Major Alexander Dru and Gabriel Mary Hermione Herbert, and is a descendant of both John Vesey, 4th Viscount de Vesci, and Henry Howard Molyneux Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon.

After college, Alick founded Tripr, a social travel app, for “travelers (who) want to meet other travelers, as well as their friends.”

He then founded Spiers Tutoring, before leaving the world of start-ups for a role in the M&A team at management consultancy Strategy&. This was followed by a two-year stint as an investor at SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Meanwhile, Tatiana, who trained under Olympian Charlotte Dujardin, was educated at the elite £12,000-per-term Millfield private school in Street, Somerset.
