Sumter man wanted in connection with deadly shooting turns himself in

SUMTER, SC (WIS) – A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting has turned himself in to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers announced that Jordan Malik Coleman-Jacob, 19, turned himself in Monday morning after being wanted in connection with the shooting of D’ante J. Archie, 20.

According to officers, Archie was found shot dead on Byas Road on October 14.

Deputies said they have also charged Coleman-Jacob’s cousin, Jaqual Jamaul Coleman, in connection with Archie’s murder.

Following his arrest, Coleman-Jacobs was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and is awaiting a bail hearing.

Deputies say the case is still under investigation.
