LIGONIER – A Ligonier man has been arrested for allegedly abusing two children.

Nicholas Ryan Anderson, 29, 4525 N. 860W, Ligonier, is charged with six counts of child abuse, all Level 1 felonies; and two counts of child abuse, both Level 4 felonies.

On August 28, a Noble County Sheriff’s Office detective responded to a report of child abuse in Ligonier. One child said Anderson touched them inappropriately and performed several sexual acts on them over several years.

On August 29, the child’s sibling revealed that they had also been touched inappropriately by Anderson.

Both children were interviewed on August 30. According to court documents, the first child detailed the incidents and said Anderson touched him inappropriately. They estimate that the assaults have occurred monthly since October 2021.

The second child said Anderson showed them pornographic images and prompted them to perform the behavior depicted. They also said Anderson caused them to touch him inappropriately.

The child said the acts occurred many times and continued monthly for years.

Anderson was arrested at the Noble County Jail on October 4.
