We must ensure that our children’s education is a priority at USP – Radrodro

As we enter the third day of the USP workers’ strike, Education Minister Aseri Radrodro confirms that he has asked the USP Council for an update on the direction it intends to take regarding the strike.

While responding to questions from fijivillage News, Radrodro said Fiji is a member of the Council.

He says it is important that we let the council make its decision on the strike without undue influence, especially when issues are discussed in the media.

Radrodro says we must respect the council’s independence and wisdom.

He emphasizes that for Fijians, their main concern will be to ensure that our children’s education is prioritized and that their studies are disrupted as little as possible as exams are just around the corner.

Radrodro said that as Minister of Education, they hope that the dispute between the two sides can be resolved amicably, and that they encourage them to talk and resolve the issues in the Pacific way.
