NYC Lawyer Who Sent Twisted Texts to ’14-Year-Old’ Who Turned Out to Be a Cop Gets 10 Years in Prison

A troubled Bronx lawyer was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for arranging a sexual tryst with a 14-year-old Connecticut girl, only to discover that the teen was actually an undercover cop.

Tong Hyon Suh, 47, began having inappropriate online conversations with “Megan” in 2022, including disgusting chats in which the lawyer asked her to send him “slutty photos” and described sexual acts he wanted to perform with her, the US attorney in said the Southern District of New York.

“Tong Hyon Suh attempted to engage in predatory behavior with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old, demonstrating a disturbing disregard for the safety and well-being of minors,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement . “This conviction underlines our commitment to confronting threats to minors.”

Suh, who also goes by Jason Suh, first came across Megan on the social platform Kik in April 2022, and struck up a conversation with her – unaware that she was actually a detective with the Greenwich Police Department searching online pedophiles.

In addition to asking for lurid photos, Suh promised to “shoot our own little porn, that’ll be fun,” and arranged an excursion to Connecticut so the two could have sex, federal prosecutors said.

The plan was for the lawyer to take a Metro-North train to Connecticut, take a ride to her house to pick her up and then drive to a house in Stamford that he would rent for the sick appointment, prosecutors said .

Megan asked him to bring condoms, lollipops and marijuana.

But when Suh showed up at the address on May 27, 2022, officers were waiting and handcuffed him, accusing him of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

Suh faced a prison sentence of 30 years, but pleaded guilty in March and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday.
