Israel confirms that the commander of the 401st Brigade has been killed in Gaza

Ehsan Daqsa was killed on Sunday after his tank was hit by explosives in the Gaza city of Jabalia, according to the Israeli army.

According to Israeli media, Daqsa is one of the highest-ranking officers killed in the fighting in Gaza. He came from the Druze town of Daliyat al-Karmel and took command of the 401st Brigade in June.

Regime media also reported that the commanders of the 162nd and 52nd divisions of the Israeli occupation forces had been ambushed in Jabalia. The first reports indicate that they were also murdered.

Palestinian resistance fighters have been fighting Israel since the start of the regime’s war on Gaza last October. They inflicted heavy casualties on Israeli forces fighting in besieged areas.
