A report has revealed that a complaint has been filed against Remo D’Souza and his wife for cheating a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore. Authorities are currently investigating the case.

Popular Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza recently found himself in hot water. He and his wife are involved in a fraud case. A case has been registered against the couple for allegedly cheating a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore.

As reported by PTI, a 26-year-old dancer has filed a cheating case against Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle. The dancer also named other people in his complaint besides the couple. He accused the couple of cheating him and his dance troupe to the tune of Rs 11.96 crore. The case was registered at Mira Road police station on October 16. The police have filed the case against the couple and five others under Section 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The FIR alleged that the dancer and his company were allegedly cheated between 2018 and July 2024. The complainant noted that the dance troupe had participated in a reality TV show and even won, but the defendants falsely posed as the troupe’s owners and claimed the prize. money of Rs 11.96 crore. Besides D’Souza and his wife, Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a police officer, and Ramesh Gupta have also been accused in the case. Authorities are currently investigating the case.

D’Souza has choreographed some of the hit songs in Bollywood. He has choreographed for films like Chameli, Dhoom, Rock On!!, Bajirao Mastani and Student Of The Year 2, to name a few. He made his television debut when he appeared on Dance India Dance and served as a judge alongside Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapoor. He was recently seen in a special role in Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express. His directorial debut, Be Happy, is all set to be released soon. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Innayat Verma, Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johny Lever and Harleen Sethi in lead roles.
