Vt. man arrested for alleged misconduct with child

HARTFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – A Hartford man is behind bars after alleged misconduct with a child.

According to Hartford police, Joseph Vaillancourt, 42, was arrested Friday on lewd and lascivious conduct with a child and menacing charges.

This comes after an investigation into Vaillancourt was launched in September.

Police also say that after searching Vaillancourt’s home, they found evidence of the above charges, a criminal amount of marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and twelve firearms.

Vaillancourt was arraigned in Windsor County Superior Court and is currently being held without bail.
