Thane police arrest family members for alleged harassment leading to woman’s suicide | Thane News

THANE: Police have arrested a man and two of his relatives for allegedly harassing and inciting his wife suicide in Thane, Maharashtra, on Saturday. The incident took place on October 16 when the victim, Sonali Pawar27 years old, was found hanging.
After the incident, the victim’s mother filed a complaint with Badlapur police, leading to the husband’s arrest. Rohit Pawar 30, his brother Dhananjay Pawar 36, and their father, Satish Vitthal Pawar 62.
The complaint alleges that the in-laws embezzled Sonali’s jewelry and locked her in their house, subjecting her to physical and mental torture, as officials say.
In addition, the victim’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law are also accused in this case.
