Man in Alachua County Jail for possession of child pornography

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville resident is in the Alachua County Jail tonight on several charges of possession of child pornography.

GPD officers say 21-year-old James Major was taken into custody this afternoon following an investigation into his online accounts.

Dozens of images of child pornography were found

Major also told officers he was talking to minors online.

Major now faces a total of 28 charges, but officers say the investigation is ongoing.
