CT man faces charges over alleged ‘inappropriate sexual conversations’ with teen

A Norwalk man was arrested Wednesday and charged with inappropriate sexual conversations with a young teen.

Keon Salmond, 32, is charged with risk of injury to a minor and harmful communication with a minor, said Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police Department.

The charges stem from an investigation that began May 7 when police received a complaint involving a 14-year-old. Evarts said the alleged victim had “inappropriate sexual conversations” with Salmond, an acquaintance of the teenager.

Evarts said detectives from the police Special Victims Unit investigated and obtained an arrest warrant for Salmond. He was taken into custody at his home.

After the arrest, Salmond posted $100,000 bond. He will appear in court on October 30.
