DJI confirms that US Customs is blocking its latest consumer drone

Many DJI drones, including the latest consumer products, are being stopped at the US border, the manufacturer said in a blog post today. DJI calls the situation a “misunderstanding” and says it is sending documentation proving its compliance with the UFLPA. It also noted that it is not a publicly traded entity under the UFLPA and that its offerings “undergo rigorous due diligence by respected U.S. retailers.” U.S. Customs and Border Protection has not yet commented on the matter.

Although the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to block DJI’s drones, the Senate removed that clause from the National Defense Authorization Act of 2025.
