Former Triton High School teacher and head football coach accused of inappropriate conduct

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police are launching an investigation into a Triton schools employee over allegations of inappropriate behavior.

In a letter to Triton parents and guardians, Triton School Corporation Superintendent Jeremy Riffle identified the employee as teacher and head football coach Zach Whittaker.

Whittaker was placed on administrative leave but has since resigned.

Riffle says school administrators were recently made aware of Whittaker’s possible relationship with a now-former student, and that information is legally required to be reported to government authorities.

Indiana State Police are now investigating.
