Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says Azimio leader Raila Odinga may have been pressured by senior leaders within the ODM party to agree to the comprehensive deal with President William Ruto.

Kalonzo said on Tuesday evening that some of the four were determined to join Ruto’s cabinet.

He said that after the Gen Z protests, Raila contacted him for input on what to do and shared his position on the matter.

“The Azimio leader is Raila Odinga, the coalition chairman is Uhuru Kenyatta, but we haven’t met for a very long time, but when all this happened, Raila asked me for an opinion because after the Gen Z revolution, the cabinet dissolved, after which William Ruto had to reconstitute his cabinet.

“There were a few, the first four senior leaders of ODM who joined Kenya Kwanza as ministers, who were determined to join the cabinet and I feel they pushed Raila strongly,” Kalonzo said. Citizen television.

He emphasized that what Raila initially wanted was a national convention that would culminate in the formation of a transitional government with leaders from both sides of the political divide.

Kalonzo said this was due to the poor state the country was in, but instead the people of Raila joined the Kenya Kwanza government.

The former Vice President noted that this development has put the former Prime Minister in the situation he currently finds himself in.

“Raila’s view would have been, and he shared this with me, let’s have a national convention because the country is in a bad state and finally formulate a transitional government. That would be the moment Azimio would have suggested so many people join. But that’s what happened instead. William Ruto must be a happy man,” he said

“That’s why I say my friend Raila was playing snooker,” he said.
