(Social) Prosecutors suspend charges against presidential security office employees for ‘sexual harassment’

Earlier this month, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office suspended the prosecution on the condition that A, an official from the Security Bureau of the Presidential Office, is suspected of harassing public places under the Sexual Assault Punishment Act .

The suspension of prosecution is a decision whereby the Public Prosecution Service does not transfer the suspect to trial, given various circumstances.

Mr. A is accused of touching the body of a victim on a Seoul subway in April.

It was previously known that the Security Service of the Presidential Office issued a standby order against Mr. A. immediately after the police informed him of the start of the investigation and continues the disciplinary procedure.
