Tua Tagovailoa will return to Miami Dolphins in 2024, says Mike McDaniel

MIAMI GARDENS – Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel met with reporters Monday morning after a weekend off.

Highlights:

More: Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold doesn’t get any style points…just the winning points

  • About Tua Tagovailoa: The news remains positive. More information will follow. “But I do expect to see him playing football in 2024.”
  • More Tua: “I didn’t really allow myself any kind of contemplation on whether or not he would play (replay this season). … Yeah, it’s exciting (knowing he’ll be back this season). “
  • Instead of worrying about Tua’s football future, Mike focused “entirely” on Tua, the person who suffered a concussion.
  • It’s not yet known for others on the injured reserve/physically unable to perform list: He doesn’t expect LB Bradley Chubb to practice this week. But McDaniel is optimistic that Chubb will play in 2024.
  • OL Isaiah Wynn, who is physically unable to perform: He’s been dealing with more than just a quadriceps injury.
  • QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley used the bye week to further get acclimated to the offense.
  • On the Colts QB situation (Joe Flacco or Anthony Richardson): “It makes it a little more challenging.” Adds: “Joe Flacco has done a very good job, as he has done in recent years.
