Employee at Auburn spa accused of coercing customers into inappropriate contact

AUBURN – A male masseuse is accused of forcing a woman to touch him “inappropriately” during a massage at an Auburn Mall spa.

Guangyo Gao, 22, Shrewsbury, is charged with assault and battery on a person over 14 years of age.

The incident happened on Oct. 6 at Liang Health Spa at 385 Southbridge St., according to police.

Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance at the Liang Health Spa. One of the callers was a female customer who claimed she was forced to touch Goa “inappropriately,” according to police.

Due to the “sensitive nature” of the facts discovered by responding officers, Auburn police said certain information about the incident is not being made public.

The owner of the company received a business certificate as Zhu Relaxation DBA Health Spa in February 2020, according to police.
