From archery to sensory play: all Center Parcs activities that children under 5 will love

From archery to sensory play: all Center Parcs activities that children under 5 will love

It can sometimes seem impossible to find a holiday in Britain that meets all the requirements of your child and you. Destinations are often focused on keeping just the kids happy, or they really are kids unfriendly. And anyone who has had a break that isn’t suitable for little ones KNOWS how stressful that can be!

But that’s what makes Center Parcs so great.

Where else can you get unlimited access to a subtropical swimming paradise, car-free cycle routes and a sandy beach included in your holiday… plus a whole bunch of extra activities to discover AND the chance for some serious relaxation at the spa?

Once you’ve booked your holiday in one of the five villages in Britain and one in Ireland, you’re in for some great fun. Here’s our selection of the activities your baby, toddler or preschooler will love…

For babies and toddlers aged 0-2 years (and older)

Mucky Pups (suitable from 18 months to 5 years) – Messy play away from the house is always a good idea! Your toddler will have fun splashing water, sticking and gluing, and painting his own picture.

Baby Balance Bike Buddy (suitable from 10 months) – watch your little one take the ride of his life on the baby balance bikes. The safe indoor track is the ideal place for them to explore, wiggle and go for a spin.

Fun pottery with toddlers (suitable from 1 month to 5 years) – think pottery is just for older kids? Think again! With this special session for children aged one month to five years, your child can get creative and take home his own masterpiece.

Sensory Play Babies (suitable from 2 to 12 months) – from just two months your little one can enjoy magical sensory experiences with you, discovering different textures, soothing sounds and bright colours.

For toddlers aged 3-5 years

Adventure Golf (suitable for all ages) – choose from nine or 18 holes (depending on your child’s attention span!) and enjoy throwing the golf ball through the obstacles. It’s for all ages, making it the perfect family activity.

Archery – Little Outlaws (suitable for ages 3 to 9) – wait a minute, archery? For three year olds? Yes! You can help your child hit the target with specially made (and safe!) bows and arrows.

Crazy Science (suitable for ages 3 to 9) – if you’ve got a budding Einstein on your hands, take them to these engaging, exciting sessions where they can get involved with super science.

Chocolate Chefs Academy (suitable for 3-9 year olds) – are you always asked to bake at home? Then your child will love this light, gooey chocolate session!

Even more fun…

But remember: there’s lots to do included in the price of your holiday – you don’t need to book extra activities to have fun!

Subtropical swimming paradise

Heated to a tropical temperature of 29.5 degrees, your little ones can try out the rides and slides in the children’s pools and have fun in the spray fountains. Or try the free Baby Dolphins sessions for children aged 0-3 years. It’s a great opportunity for you and your child to splash, swim and sing together. Book in advance to secure your spot.

Misuse

Center Parcs is a car-free area, making it super safe to cycle. Bring your bicycles or rent mountain bikes, balance bikes and take-along bikes at the Cycle Center.

Enjoy your child’s first ride on a balance bike, or even their milestone ride without stabilizers!

Beach fun

Each Center Parcs is located around a lake and has its own beach. And you know how much children love playing with sand!

Grab buckets and spades (or pick them up from the ParcMarket or The Boathouse) and enjoy building sandcastles, digging holes and messy play. Who needs a holiday abroad to experience maximum fun – and unforgettable moments – with your little one?!

Go to the Center Parcs website Choose which village you will visit, discover the fun activities and book your family outing!
