My mother was brilliant because she understood immediately, but tried to keep him calm: ‘Stay with me, help will come.’ And she doesn’t remember any of this; she was in shock and I had to tell her what happened. At one point we shouted for help and we heard mother calling him: ‘Claudio, Claudio, Claudio’. My dad’s phone flew and he fell. We thought he fell off the couch, but when I got there I saw the dynamics: he fell off the chair and went into cardiac arrest. About ten minutes after he made a video call and said, “Monica, stay calm, you’re fine, don’t call anyone.” According to Le Donatella’s account, it took a long time for help to arrive. “It was a problem to get in touch with them and get instructions from them on how to proceed one way or another. When these things happen, without much fanfare, you expect a high degree of sensitivity. I had serious problems managing my anxiety, and you expect them to understand certain states.
