American actor Jeremy Jackson was also slammed by the Big Brother house for inappropriate behavior during the drama series.

And as a new batch of Big Brother contestants hit our screens this week, Nadia opened up about her experiences in the house.

She told The Sun: “It’s funny because I never saw any of it when I came out and just couldn’t bear it. But my daughter, just like a few months ago, said, “Mommy, look at this.” And there were a lot of highlights.

“And I’m not kidding. I’ve looked at it. And I thought, ‘Damn, you’re just being yourself.’

“You know, when people say, ‘I’m going to go in and stay true to myself.’ And I just never really understand what that means. It really made me laugh because my family said, “Yes, you are exactly the way you are.”

“So I thought, ‘Oh, that’s quite a success’.”

The 59-year-old continued: “It’s terrible. And it’s brilliant. And I always say it because it’s really true.

‘That it is so easy to judge before you have done the reality. But when you do it, it’s so, so, so different.

“I was excited because I’ve done a lot of acting and been in a lot of different casts for years. I was very much a lonely presenter BBC. And I hated it.

“I love being with a cast. I’m like, Oh, brilliant. Great. So I can laugh like that and chat all day long discovering people’s stories.

“And it was the most explosive ever.”

Nadia even went so far as to compare it to Loose Women, which she is a regular panellist on, saying: ‘You want to have a magnifying glass on society. You want to be like any kind of person you can. It’s a bit like loose women.

“It’s a bit like a soap opera. You know, there’s someone you love, someone you hate, someone you’re always annoyed by, someone you agree with on everything.

Big Brother 2024 cast

A brand new batch of Big Brother housemates are living it up in the famous complex.

  • Dean, 35, hairdresser from East London

“That’s what I think is part of our 25-year survival. You never quite know what’s going to happen. And that’s why these reality shows and the early Big Brothers basically just looked at people as guinea pigs.

“I love it. I’m a people watcher.”

Meanwhile, off-screen, Nadia is leading a campaign to raise £150,000 in legal costs to appeal a decision that means thousands of women will miss out on a life-extending cancer drug.

Enhertu – which is used to treat patients like her in 25 countries including Scotland – was rejected for use by the NHS by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) due to its costs.

In the US, where it is available to cancer patients, it is estimated to cost around £10,000 per patient per year.

Nadia’s good friend Hannah Gardner, 37, who she calls her ‘daughter’, is currently taking Enhertu as part of a clinical trial where she also has to take a more toxic drug as part of the terms.

So far, the mother’s tumors have responded well to the life-extending drug, but the delay in starting the trial has allowed her stage 4 cancer to spread.

Nadia explained why the group must self-fund lawyers to challenge NICE’s decision.

She said: “Big Pharma told us that NHS England got it (Enhertu) at the lowest price from anyone else who used Enhertu. And that is NICE, which is responsible for the approval.

“I used to be in the (Royal) Marsden with Hannah and the others and say, ‘Oh, well, it’ll get through. There’s always a bit of back and forth and it’ll get through.’

“You know, it’s great medicine. Nothing has had this reaction since Herceptin, which we know has saved hundreds of thousands of women’s lives.

“So everyone thought it was a certain death, but what happened is there is something called a severity modifier; if you imagine that secondary breast cancer was in the category of a serious disease and there was a certain pot of money for that, but they moved.” it is to moderately severe across the board. Now there is no cure for secondary breast cancer.

“So for those women to be told that their illness was not serious and only moderate, and that that pot of money that was sitting there is now no longer available to buy this drug, it was just devastating.”
