Potomac man sentenced to prison for possession of methamphetamine

Oct. 11 – A Potomac man has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the District Attorney’s Office.

On September 1, 2023, Charles Parham was stopped and arrested by Danville Police after stealing something from Meijer in Danville. When Parham was searched, police found a small plastic bag containing 0.2 grams of a crystal substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

On October 8, 2024, Judge Robert McIntire sentenced Parham to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Parham’s prison sentence will be followed by six months of mandatory supervised release.

State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy thanked the Danville Police Department for their work in getting dangerous drugs off the streets of our community.
