AAP’s Sanjay Singh slams LG VK Saxena

New Delhi (India), October 12 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party and Delhi LG VK Saxena, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday alleged that the BJP is waiting for a Kolkata-like incident that will unfold in Delhi.

According to Singh, a woman doctor in Delhi has been a victim of sexual harassment over the past year and a half and despite repeated complaints, no action has been taken against the Medical Superintendent (MS) in charge. “Instead, an investigation has been initiated against the victim,” he said.

“Despite the internal investigation confirming the abuse, no action has been taken, prompting the AAP to demand answers from the BJP and Prime Minister Modi. Is it the role of the LG to protect those who exploit women?” Sanjay Singh emphasized.

Highlighting how shocking it is, he said that perhaps this is why Prime Minister Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have given the LG the power to transfer, post and take action so that those who harass women can are protected. This is exactly what LG of Delhi does.

“A woman doctor at a government hospital in Delhi has been continuously facing sexual harassment due to her MS. Despite this, the LG and Health Ministry officials, who received the complaint, did not take any action. The doctor complained of MS,” he added. the AAP MP.

“She tried to meet Delhi Health Minister Deepak Kumar dozens of times to complain about the same,” Sanjay Singh further added. He said she filed her complaint in October 2023, and it took four months for an internal committee to finally be formed, with the health minister repeatedly refusing to meet her.

The AAP leader stated that the states, against whom an FIR should have been filed and who should have been arrested, faced no action. It took four long months before an internal committee was set up to investigate the matter, and even then, in March, they had begun investigating the same woman who had provided all the evidence against the MS.

Emphasizing how much of a mental torture it was for the complainant, Sanjay Singh further stated, “However, the lady doctor did not bend over. She presented all the evidence to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), and by May 2024 all the evidence her allegations against the MS for sexual harassment were found to be true. That MS should have been arrested and an FIR lodged. But instead of arresting the MS, the LG of Delhi, appointed by the Prime Minister to protect such people, has taken no action even till today.” Angry over the handling of this case, the AAP MP said, “I want the BJP and asking Prime Minister Modi whether they have granted their LG the power to transfer and post officials so that they can protect those who harass Is that the reason Deepak Kumar is the Health Minister so that women doctors’ complaints go unheard for months , so that he can start an investigation into the complainant?’ Sanjay Singh told the LG, “Do you want to repeat the incident in Kolkata? in Delhi Are you waiting for a similar case in Delhi? The MS, who has been accused by not one, but many female doctors, is being protected by the LG and the Health Minister. These are the people who appointed the BJP, the Prime Minister and Amit Shah here. The senior AAP leader further said that not only that but all the rules of the Supreme Court were bloated. When the female doctor complained, she was transferred, and her transfer order stated that she was transferred because she accused her MS of sexual harassment. This publicly humiliated her, because everyone in the new hospital knew her as the doctor who had faced sexual harassment.

Shocked by the depth of this case, Sanjay Singh said, “The MS has been harassing a woman doctor in the hospital for so long. Deepak Kumar, the health minister, should be fired. The MS, whose actions have been proven It is true, he must be arrested immediately. And if the Delhi LG has even an iota of morality, he should resign from his post.” “How did the LG remain silent for a year on cases of female doctors being harassed? Kolkata in Delhi? The LG, the BJP and the Prime Minister who appointed him must be held accountable for this,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the LG told Sanjay Singh on the same issue, “In a lame attempt to shift the focus from the gruesome tragedy of RG Kar Medical College, AAP MP Sanjay Singh is defending its leader Arvind Kejriwal, and current Delhi CM, Atishi .If anyone should be blamed at all for inaction towards the doctor accused of sexual misconduct, it is the then CM Arvind Kejriwal, Press Secretary Saurabh Bharadwaj and the current CM Atishi in question in November 2023 himself for a decision by the NCCSA under the CM. The proposal has been pending before the NCCSA since December 2023. The then CM did not decide on it until March 2024, even when he was released on bail. “The female doctor in question was transferred to the place of her choice following a discussion with her and the recommendations of the ICC. Now to blame her for being transferred with a vengeance is absurd. There are investigations underway against the female doctor, it is also a blatant lie. It is to be noted that the health department has not only submitted a proposal for his transfer but has also been working from arrow to arrow to fill the posts of DGHS and medical directors of 16 other hospitals. In the entire country, Delhi must be the only state that has not had a regular DGHS for over a year. 16 hospitals do not have a permanent medical director, including GTB, which recently faced some serious security lapses,” he added.

“It is reiterated that the NCCSA is the sole authority to take action and take action against the doctor/MS in question and all other issues mentioned above and the proposal for all such effects has been pending before the NCCSA since December 2023.
