‘Monkey Dust mother of five’ avoids jail over string of offenses at Telford stores

On one occasion Georgia Luckman created such a scene in a Co-op Store in Telford that a busy road had to be cleared of the items she had moved after her rampage, a court was told.

Luckman, of Furnace Road, St George’s, was arrested and remanded in custody before appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Friday where she pleaded guilty to a bail breach.

She also pleaded guilty to seven charges of shoplifting, one count of attempted theft, plus using abusive or insulting words or behavior or disorderly conduct causing a store employee to harass, alarm or panic.

Luckman also admitted a charge of attempted criminal damage at the Co-op during a bizarre incident on April 10.

Prosecutor Fumnanya Okwuashi said that on April 10, after being banned from the store, Luckman “banged on a glass door, pushed over a newsstand and placed items on the street.”

“Staff had to clear debris blocking a busy road,” the prosecutor said.

The court was told that on March 29, during one of a series of raids on the Co-op in St George’s, she went to the store with an ‘unknown man’ who said he had a knife when challenged to five bottles of liquor. .

Staff there managed to take back one of the bottles of alcohol, but they made off with four bottles and a shopping basket worth £90.

And on April 2, Luckman told a Co-op employee who took the bottle from her that “if you put my hands on me, I’ll smash your face in it.”

She had been challenged for attempting to steal a £17 bottle of Smirnoff Vodka.
