ANC Youth League leader warns Cyril Ramaphosa and threatens to install himself as SA president

South Africans are amused by Collen Malatji of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL).

The ANCYL president has caused a stir on social media after issuing a warning to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Malatji warned that Ramaphosa will be removed from office if he does not change the structure of the country’s economy.

“If there is no clear direction by December, we have decided that I will install myself as president of this country,” Malatji said.

He added that it was clear that the ANCYL could lead better than Ramaphosa.

ANCYL wants more youth ministers

The ANCYL are not only dissatisfied with the economy, but also want more youth representation among the country’s leaders.

The ANCYL calls for 50% of ministers to be youth representatives.

South Africans troll Malatji

The ANCYL president’s comments did not resonate with citizens, and many wondered what was wrong with him.

Keikagile Gaopelo said:

“He’s mad about this one. He must watch his language; otherwise he will soon be called to Luthuli’s house.’

Lazarus Rabothatat added:

“Listen to this mentally disturbed young man. The ANC produces maniacal leaders.”

Abel Bigjohn joked:

“I’m also going to install a Polo and girlfriend.”

Jongikhaya Ngcebetsha said:

“This was a poor choice for an ANCYL leader when the league is desperate for a leader who will return the league to its former glory.”

Malatji criticizes Panyaza Lesufi

Malatji is not just firing shots at President Ramaphosa; he is also angry with Gauteng Prime Minister Panyaza Lesufi.

Short news previously reported that the ANCYL leader criticized Lesufi’s choice for his provincial cabinet.

He claimed that some of the MECs in Lesufi’s cabinet did not deserve to have posts in government.
