An acclaimed actress and filmmaker in the Indian film industry, Konkona Sen Sharma has gained recognition for her powerful performances and insightful views on social issues. In a recent interview with Sucharita Tyagi on her YouTube channel, Konkona Sen Sharma candidly discussed the disturbing dynamics in the film industry. She pointed out that many cases of assault and sexual harassment go unreported and emphasized that this silence perpetuates a toxic environment for women. . “Several actors and female crew members have alleged in the past that they were mistreated on film sets, but most of these complaints go unnoticed,” she said, reflecting on the industry’s culture of silence around such issues.
