Sean Diddy Combs faces difficult adjustments to prison life as trial date is set for May 2025

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly finding it difficult to adjust to life behind bars, especially with the food served at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn where he is awaiting trial. According to his attorney Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ biggest challenge was the prison meals. “The food is probably the toughest part of it,” Agnifilo told reporters after a status conference in Manhattan on Oct. 10, 2024.

Combs, who was indicted in September on sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution-related charges, appeared motionless during his court hearing, where a trial date of May 5, 2025, was set. Prosecutors allege Combs orchestrated so-called “freak offs,” in which women were allegedly coerced or forced to perform with male sex workers.

While Combs remains in custody, his legal team is fighting for bail after already receiving two denials due to concerns about possible witness tampering. According to sources close to the family, his family, including his mother and children, attended the hearing as a show of support.

In a related legal filing, Combs’ attorneys have asked that leaked surveillance footage of a 2016 attack on his ex, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, be kept under wraps. Prosecutors deny the video was leaked and claim they did not obtain it before CNN published the footage.

Combs’ legal battle continues and his next court appearance is scheduled for early 2025.
