West Geauga High School names interim football coach after allegations of ‘inappropriate conduct’

CHESTERLAND, Ohio (WOIO) – West Geauga High School will have an interim football coach following an allegation of “inappropriate conduct.”

According to West Geauga Local Schools officials, a “serious matter” regarding the football program was brought to their attention this week.

According to West Geauga Local Schools, the allegation is not sexual in nature.

The school district released the following statement:

School officials say Eric Stendalen will serve as interim football coach.

Matt Rosati was the football coach at West Geauga Local Schools.

19 News has reached out to West Geauga Local Schools to clarify whether Rosati has been placed on leave, but the school district would not provide a definitive answer on the matter.
