Fruit of the Loom confirms staff reductions at its Warren County headquarters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Fruit of the Loom has confirmed layoffs across the company, including at its Warren County headquarters.

In response to a question from WBKO, the company acknowledged that it has reduced headcount at multiple locations worldwide.

“Fruit of the Loom, Inc. operates in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving market,” the statement said. “Based on our most recent review and restructuring of our business to meet market demands, we had the unfortunate need to reduce headcount at multiple locations worldwide, including our headquarters in Bowling Green.”

The company said affected employees will receive outplacement assistance and other benefits in accordance with company policy.

Fruit of the Loom has not yet provided an answer to the question of specific figures about job losses.
