UPDATE: Found safe – Missing Kansas City child may be with father threatening self-harm

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – UPDATE: Both the missing father and son have been found safe.

A man who threatened to kill himself is missing and police believe his six-year-old son may be with him.

Officers said 33-year-old Joshua Catlett made comments about harming himself in the hours before he disappeared Wednesday.

Catlett is 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair and light brown eyes.

He disappeared from his home near 70th Street and Prospect Avenue.

Officers believe Catlett and his son may be traveling in his navy blue 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The SUV has Texas license plates and a headlight that doesn’t work.

Anyone who sees Catlett is asked to call 911 or the Kansas City Police Department at 816-234-5043.
