Cadillac man accused of sexually assaulting a minor in July 2023

WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) – A Cadillac man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing a minor last year, according to Michigan State Police.

Last July, a minor was interviewed at the Traverse City Child Advocacy Center and alleged that Leonard Hoover, 61, sexually assaulted them in July 2023.

An arrest warrant was issued on October 3 and Hoover was arrested five days later.

Hoover was arraigned Wednesday in 84th District Court on one count of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, multiple variables.

Hoover received a personal recognizance bond.

His next scheduled court appearance is Oct. 22 at 2 p.m
